What is single session therapy?

Single session therapy tends to be more solution focused and coaching based and is great if you have a particular problem you would like to talk through - this might be work, family, relationships or confidence. It is also useful for anyone who has never experienced counselling and wants to give it a try. I am an experienced single session integrative therapist. This means that as well as listening, asking questions and observing behaviour, emotions and language, I can also offer practical solutions for you to take away, for example techniques on managing time, stress and anxiety. I may also be able to offer you further resources or signpost you to other agencies.

How will we meet and how long does it last?

Single session therapy is available over the telephone, on Teams or face to face.  Sessions usually last one or two hours (you can decide how much time you think you will need). Single sessions can be booked as and when you feel you need one.

What will happen during the session?

It is important for you to prepare for the session and decide what it is you would like to achieve from it.Please note that we can only focus on one issue during a single session. We will set the agenda for the session together at the beginning and this will remain our focus throughout the session. At the end of the session, we will review and reflect on what we have covered and what you will take away from it.

How much does it cost?

Single session therapy is £45.00 per hour online or over the phone, and £50.00 face to face. If you have any further questions about single session therapy, or would like to book a session please call or email - see the Get In Touch page for contact details.
